Position Job Energy Carer, Home Energy Scotland
Location Flexible working - principally home based with some travel within the Strathclyde & Central area to deliver face to face advice and support - therefore a driving license is essential.
Salary £25,664 + excellent benefits
Hours 35 hours per week (flexible working)
Status Fixed Term to 31 March 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Home Energy Scotland (HES) team as an Energy Carer.
As an Energy Carer, you will join a specialist team and be responsible for delivering in depth energy advice and advocacy to support vulnerable customers.
You will be responsible for your own customers, providing ongoing support throughout their journey to overcome barriers and encourage the uptake of grants, funding, and advice. This will be done over the telephone and in person by visiting customer homes.
You will be self-motivated with excellent customer service and communications skills. You should have the drive and enthusiasm to achieve excellent results, overcome challenges and find solutions to achieve the best outcomes for customers.
The following experience and qualifications are preferred but not essential as training will be provided:
• City and Guilds Energy Awareness
• Domestic Energy Assessor
• Experience of delivering energy efficiency advice directly to householders
Due to the travel involved in the role, a full driving license is required. We would also require you to be able to travel within the 11 local authorities within the Strathclyde & Central area to deliver face to face advice and support.
