Walk or wheel
From either travel interchange your walk will be about 30-35 minutes along Westgate Road.

Arrive in Newcastle City Centre at either: Haymarket (Metro and Bus Interchange) or Central Station (Metro, Bus and Rail Interchange) situated on Neville Street.

Bus
The nearest bus stop to The Beacon travelling west from the city centre is at Newcastle Centre for Ageing & Vitality (CAV) Campus (the stop after Westgate Road-Dilston Road), it’s a 3-minute walk (0.2miles) to the Beacon. Stagecoach runs the buses to this stop.

The nearest Sustrans Route is No. 72 which runs along the River Tyne, Westgate Road (A186) runs parallel to the north The Sustrans website has an interactive map which details where all the easiest to use cycle routes can be found.
