Make a positive difference - we're seeking a customer-focused person who can support male offenders in the Northeast of England using our Relational Mentoring approach.

Position Mentor Advocacy
Location Flexible working - principally home based with some travel in Durham, community and custodial settings
Salary £25,664 + excellent benefits
Hours 35 hours per week (flexible working)
Status Fixed Term to 28 February 2027

The Wise Group, in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and third-sector organisations, delivers the Personal Wellbeing Service, supporting nearly 5,000 men across the Northeast. Working closely with probation and prison staff, we provide one-to-one mentoring to address wellbeing, lifestyle, family, and social inclusion needs, linking individuals with the right support.
We’re looking for people who can offer advice and support through. If you're people focused and motivated by making a difference, especially with those facing complex challenges, this could be the role for you.
A full driving licence and daily use of a car is an essential requirement.
· The post is also subject to the successful candidate passing enhanced level 1 prison vetting.
· Experience of working in a mentoring role and in a custodial setting is advantageous.
· Home broadband connection is also required to allow home working to be undertaken.
