Turn purpose into opportunity.
At the Wise Group, we believe that growth isn’t just about numbers — it’s about impact.
Every tender we write, every partnership we forge, and every idea we bring to life is driven by one shared mission: transforming lives.
As we enter a bold new era of growth under our Transforming Lives, we’re building a new Business Development function — designed to match our ambition, agility, and purpose. We’re now looking for an experienced Bid & Proposal Manager to lead the creation of compelling, high-quality submissions that win opportunities and partnerships across the UK.
The Role
You’ll be at the heart of our dedicated proposal engine, shaping bids that tell our story and demonstrate our value.
As Bid & Proposal Manager, you will:
- Lead the full lifecycle of public sector tenders, grant applications, and strategic proposals across diverse funders (DWP, MoJ, Home Office, local authorities, and more).
- Manage multiple live opportunities — from planning and scheduling to writing, editing, governance, and submission.
- Create persuasive, compliant, and values-driven proposals that reflect our Relational Mentoring™, employability, justice, and community transformation strengths.
- Collaborate with colleagues across operations, finance, and strategy to turn data, evidence, and lived experience into powerful narratives.
- Develop and maintain a library of case studies, impact data, and boilerplate materials to continuously improve efficiency and quality.
This is a role for someone who thrives on storytelling with substance — combining precision, persuasion, and purpose in equal measure.
About You
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in managing and writing competitive bids, tenders, or grant applications.
- Exceptional written communication skills, attention to detail, and compliance awareness.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders with calm, clarity, and confidence.
- Strong collaboration skills — you bring people together to craft ideas that win.
- A values-led mindset, motivated by social impact, inclusion, and transformation.
You’re someone who sees beyond the paperwork — understanding that every successful bid means more lives changed.
A Workplace That Works for You
We’re proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s most progressive, people-centred employers.
At the Wise Group, you’ll join a community that is flexible, inclusive, and deeply human. We put people at the heart of everything we do — supporting every colleague to learn, lead, and thrive.
We offer genuine flexibility, a hybrid model that values balance and trust, and a workplace that celebrates ambition, collaboration, kindness, and innovation. When our people flourish, our impact grows — and that’s what makes the Wise Group one of the best places to work in our sector.
