Location Flexible working - working within custodial and community settings across the North East, some home working required.
Salary £25,664 + excellent benefits
Hours 35 hours per week (flexible working)
Status Fixed term - dates will be discussed at interview

Money Mindset is a service delivered on behalf of the Ministry of Justice to support people in prison and people on probation with their financial wellbeing through relational mentoring. We work hand in hand with probation/prison staff to support people in accessing the financial support they need, engaging with relevant services, managing and coordinating their debts, budgeting better, and accessing the right benefits. Financial wellbeing is an issue for over half of people on probation or in prison. Delivering this service is pivotal in improving outcomes for vulnerable people who need our support.
This contract will supplement and complement the 17 Ministry of Justice contracts we deliver across England and Wales.
You will play a key role in helping the Wise Group to increase our impact in our Justice work. Ensuring people entering and leaving the justice system receive the necessary support to help them manage their finance, benefit and debt needs which is essential to their rehabilitation and integration back into the community. This builds upon our work across Personal Wellbeing and Women’s services.
The post is also subject to the successful candidate passing enhanced level 1 prison vetting.
Experience of working in a mentoring role and in a custodial setting is advantageous.
Home broadband connection is also required to allow home working to be undertaken.
