Our community justice mentoring services provide wraparound support and guidance to people serving short-term sentences through our Ministry of Justice contracts across England and Wales. Mentors work with probation and prison staff to support their transition from prison to the community, reducing their chances of re-offending and change their lives for the better. Through one-to-one mentoring we are able to identify the needs of each person to help get them the support they need.
You will play a key role working in our centralised admin team, helping the Wise Group to increase our impact in our Justice work. Ensuring people entering and leaving the justice system receive the necessary support to help them overcome issues such as homelessness, poor mental health, addiction and manage their own finance, benefit and debt needs which is essential to their rehabilitation and integration back into the community.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is a team player, IT literate, organised, pays attention to detail, ability to prioritise your workload and has good communication skills.
The post is also subject to the successful candidate passing enhanced level 1 prison vetting.
